It's amazing how many simple things can be sorted before you need to pick up the phone. Whilst this list is not extensive or overly comprehensive even, it may just be what you need.

Q: My computer will not turn on.
A: Step 1. Check to ensure that the cables are plugged in correctly and that the power point being used works. Step 2. Unplug the power from the tower, wait 30secs and plug it back in. Surprisingly, the unplug, wait and re-plug works wonders.

Q: I can't connect to the Remote Office server.
A: First thing is to see if you can access the Internet. Open Internet Explorer, goto www.google.com and do a search - perhaps computer solutions Capalaba. If you get a list of results, open your Remote Office server program, if it works - great, if not, give me a call. If there are no Google results, quite possibly your Internet connection has dropped out, so give me a call.

Q: I can't access the Internet.
A: Well you won't be reading this from the affected computer. Check if the other office computers are also affected. If yes, your Internet connection may have disconnected and need to be re-started. If only your computer is affected, check the cables in the back, if still no joy, give me a call.
